Compact, firm and easy to handle
We have a total of 27 different designs in the new collection. 8 new designs have been added this year. Each of these styles is designed to allow both boys and girls to find their perfect design. From playful patterns to bold colors, there’s something for everyone in our collection!
Our carrying system is based on the following three elements and pertains to the pack, cubo and maxi models:
Uniform weight distribution: The weight of the backpack is now better distributed across the chest, shoulders, back and hips to reduce the load on small shoulders.
Anatomical design: The carrying system is adapted to the child’s body shape. The 3D back support is optimally positioned in the lumbar spine, and the butterfly straps fit tight against the upper body. Both relieve the strain on the back.
Individual size adjustment: The ergobag grows with you! Our "Your-Size-System" allows the backpack to be precisely adjusted to the child’s height, from 100 - 150 cm (12 - 170 cm for the maxi model). This ensures a better fit and increases comfort.
Together, these changes provide an even more ergonomic and comfortable solution for elementary school children.
Every year, we look at which functions children really need and use and which ones are superfluous. That's how we determine where there's a need for optimization. This year we've improved our ergonomic carrying system: We’ve reinforced the padding in the lumbar spine with two more layers of foam to achieve an even more individual fit. We've also shaped the shoulder straps so that they fit even better against the upper body. And lastly, we’ve changed the fabric in the back panel to a slightly softer one, which increases comfort. We describe the ergonomics system in more detail here: www.ergobag.com/en/ergonomics
In addition to the back system, other things have also changed: We've installed two straps in the lid compartment of the cubo so that you can store the pencil case there. In addition, we've integrated a loop on the front zipper on all models, which makes it easier to zip up zip sets. On cubo, pack and maxi, the volume expansion in the side pockets is now especially practical with hook-and-loop fasteners (instead of zippers). In exchange, we removed the rain cover compartment and the Klettie from the sports backpack (pack, maxi) and sports bag (cubo, cubo light). For cubo and cubo light we've reduced the height, and for cubo light we've used an embroidered form for the logo like with the other models.
Again this year, we’ve created lots of great new styles. New to the range are Magic CloudBear, Front RunBear, TrackaBear Chase, AmBearzonas, CyBear Race, StargazBear, Flower PowBear, DiverBear and Crime HuntBear, the design for three ??? Fans.
This year’s ECO HEROes are Flower PowBear and DiverBear. Both the designs and their material composition are a great success: The outer fabrics of our ECO HEROs are made from 100% recycled textiles, i.e., old clothes. These are also certified bluesign®️ PRODUCTS.
All ergobags are water-resistant. The outer fabrics of our backpacks meet the standard for waterproof fabrics, which is a 1,300 mm water column. We always use a 1,500mm water column in order to take production fluctuations into account. Why are our backpacks not waterproof? Because we don't use sealed zippers and seams.
Our zip sets are primarily used for better visibility, which is why they are only available in selected colors and do not match all of our backpack designs.
Normally we add a date when the respective school-backpacks will be available again. You can also subscribe to our Stock Alert and you will then receive an email notification of availability. Of course there are also discontinued models, these will not be returned to our shop, but could still be available from our dealers.
It can happen that the side pockets don't hold up if they are loaded too heavily.
